Good news! We will be extending the Seattle Transportation scavenger hunt to Monday, September 7th which means more time to get outside, enjoy the weather, and explore the city.
How to play:
1. Download the Scavr Mobile App.
2. Link to the scavenger hunt can be found here. (Updated 8/24/2020)
3. Once you have the link you will be prompted to register through the Scavr Mobile App.
4. While you are out on the hunt tag us on social media with #YPTSeattle
5. The scavenger hunt is is a week long event starting on Monday 8/24 and ending on Monday 9/7/2020 11:59 pm PST. (Updated 9/4/2020)
The Hunt consists of 33-challenges that will require you take pictures of various transportation elements that can be found all over Seattle, WA. The completion of each challenge will constitute various points, ranging from 100 - 400 pts. Participants will not have access to the leaderboard, but a midweek ranking update will be shared with the members.
The first 10 to get as many points within the scavenger hunt will be awarded $20 gift certificates to local Seattle Black Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC)owned businesses. Winners will be announced on social media (FB, Twitter, and Instagram), and will be informed by email from firstname.lastname@example.org.
To top it all off the grand prize winner (the first person to complete the scavenger hunt) will get a $20 gift certificate + be able to chose from the list of Black organizations below, in which we will be donating funds to!
Wa Na Wari Wa Na Wari creates space for Black ownership, possibility, and belonging through art, historic preservation, and connection. We are a center for Black art and culture in Seattle’s historically redlined Central District neighborhood. Sited in a 5th-generation Black-owned home, Wa Na Wari.
Feed the People Amid COVID-19 restaurant restrictions and with people mostly stuck in their homes, Feed The People has emerged in the Central District, combining food and community. Feed the People is ran by local Chef Tarik Abdullah.
Prizes for this event will include gift certificates of $20, for the 1st 10 to complete the scavenger hunt. The prizes will come from local Seattle Black Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) owned businesses.
