Election season is upon us! YPT Seattle is seeking leaders for multiple board positions. This is an excellent opportunity to gain leadership experience, connect with other transportation professionals & enthusiasts, and plan fun events. For those new to the area and the organization, this is a great way to get involved and get integrated into the Seattle transportation community!

Board Position Descriptions
Chair: Responsible for day-to-day implementation of the policy and guidelines of the board. The Chair shall preside over Chapter Board meetings and act as chief official representative of YPT-Seattle.
Deputy Chair: Prepare meeting minutes, keep accurate organization records, safekeep funds, report receipts and account balances, and manage the election process.
Director of Programs: Responsible for the coordination and organization of dates, locations, and any necessary materials for YPT Seattle events.
Director of Communications: Responsible for the management of social media, the email newsletter, and the YPT Seattle email account.
Director of Membership and Sponsorship: Responsible for the accurate management of memberships through YPT International’s CRM system, and maintain and grow sponsorships for YPT Seattle.

Election Timeline and Term
October 31, 2022 – Candidate Submission Form Deadline
Election ballots will be sent out by YPT International to eligible voting members for all elections shortly after submissions close.
November 7, 2022 – Online elections close at 11:59 PM EDT. International and Chapter Board members and nominees will be notified of election results shortly thereafter.
November 8, 2022 – December 31, 2022 – Board Transition Period
January 1, 2023 – New term begins for International and Chapter Boards.
December 31, 2023 – 2022 Term Concludes
