First Hill Streetcar Shop Tour

In January, several YPTers had the opportunity to tour the operations and maintenance facility for a Seattle street car! They learned about the relationship between SDOT (who owns) and Metro (who operates) the street cars as well as the differences between the First Hill and SLU lines. Attendees discussed how winter weather affects services, workforce considerations, and upcoming right-of-way projects to improve speed and reliability.
