How to Vote
Election time is here! All registered YPT Members in good standing should have received a ballot via email from us labeled "YPT 2020 Election Ballot". This email contains your login information. The polls close on October 30th, at 11:59 pm EST! Be sure to make your voice heard for the future of YPT local and International chapters!

How to Apply
Apply to become a YPT Seattle Board member! There is a new application submission process for all YPT Local Chapters and YPT International Leaders. All submissions must be done through this form which can be found here. The deadline to apply October 1, 11:59pm EDT.
To run for any YPT Board of Director position (international or local chapter) or vote in the elections you must:
Already be or become a paid YPT Member by October 1st, 2020, 11:59pm EDT.
If you think you are already a Member but are unsure, you can check your membership status.
Timeline for Board Members
Term limits for all (International & Local) YPT Board positions is one year. The term runs from January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2021.
YPT Seattle Leadership Board descriptions
Chair: is responsible for day-to-day implementation of the policy and guidelines of the Board of Directors. The Chair shall preside over Chapter Board meetings, and act as chief official representative of YPT Seattle.
Vice Chair: shall help to coordinate activities involving multiple Officers and assist the Chair in their responsibilities. In the absence of the Chair, the Deputy Chair shall act in the official capacity of the Chair and perform all duties of that office.
Finance & Administration Chair: shall keep full and accurate records of all business and proceedings at Chapter Board meetings. They shall prepare meeting minutes, keep accurate organization records, collect dues, safekeep funds, report receipts, and manage the election process.
Programs/Events Chair: shall be responsible for the coordination and organization of dates, locations, and any necessary materials for networking or social events. They shall also be responsible for coordinating speakers, dates, and locations for professional development programs and workshops.
Outreach/Communications Chair: shall be responsible for the management of social media, a monthly email, and the YPT Seattle email account.
Membership/Sponsorship Chair: shall be responsible for the accurate management of memberships through yptransportation.org, and maintain and grow sponsorships for the Seattle chapter.
Timeline for Voting Process
This year we are implementing a new timeline for all YPT Chair Board Members, which extends your leadership till January 1st of the calendar year.
October 1, 2020 – Candidate statements are due by 11:59 PM EDT. (Updated 9/22/2020)
October 19, 2020 – Election ballots will be sent out by YPT International to eligible voting Members for all Chapter and International elections by 9:00 AM EDT.
October 30, 2020 – Online elections close at 11:59 PM EDT. International and Chapter Board members and nominees will be notified of election results shortly thereafter.
January 1, 2021 – New Board term for all winning candidates begins
